Food service locations in the West and North-South buildings will be renovated with much-needed infrastructure and aesthetic improvements being made over the next few years.

The Linda W. Chapin Theater, the 2,634-seat auditorium in the OCCC’s West Building, will soon be updated to best meet client needs and offer an even better experience to performers, attendees and show managers alike.

The Orange County Convention Center has begun the process of converting underutilized spaces around the campus into all-new Wellness Rooms, dedicated locations that can be utilized by new mothers for pumping and nursing; in addition to meditation, prayer and personal medical needs.

Coming into the month of October, several CIP projects continue to progress forward. Here are some of the highlights, including some behind-the-scenes updates, that are happening at the Center of Hospitality.

The dressing room located behind Valencia Ballroom D is ready for business after being completely redesigned and renovated.

Construction in front of the West Concourse is limiting vehicle access to the front of the building until early September. The road in front of the building is closed between Halls B4 and D1 while crews complete work on repaving. Work, which started this week, is expected to be completed September 9th.

Parking at our North and South concourses just got a little easier. Approximately 80 short-term parking spaces are now available on that side of our campus, divided evenly along both buildings.

The bridge, expected to open soon, will create a critical and convenient connection between the Orange County Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency Orlando.

Roofs at the Orange County Convention Center are getting a much-needed update. The North/South Concourse project is expected to be completed in October while the West Building work is estimated to be finished by July 2019.

Progress continues to move forward with the canopies being placed on all of the overhangs of the International Drive Pedestrian Bridge.
