Community

At the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) we are proud to be known as “The Center of Hospitality.” This symbolizes outstanding service to our clients and community, motivating their desire to return and enhancing the community’s reputation for excellence. As a world-class convention facility, we host some of the most dynamic regional, national and international conventions, meetings and trade shows. This allows the Center to fulfill its mission of economic development, ultimately benefiting the Central Florida region.

On average, the OCCC hosts approximately 1.5 million delegates annually, all at no cost to Orange County Citizens. More than 29,300 individuals are employed either directly or indirectly by the activity generated by the OCCC. Additionally, more than 1,200 businesses are impacted by OCCC activity.

The OCCC works with each of its clients to ensure that any surplus of food or products after an event or show are donated to local schools, hospitals or other non-profit organizations.

The destination offers many diverse opportunities to engage meeting attendees as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)initiatives. Options include donation programs, team-building exercises and volunteer projects with a wide range of opportunities to benefit charities that support children, animals, education and numerous other community groups. Since 2013, the Center and its clients have donated more than $14.45 million worth of food, supplies, furniture and other products to local non-profit organizations.
