Committed to our core mission, the OCCC continues to celebrate milestone accomplishments and another outstanding third quarter in 2019. From July to September, the OCCC welcomed more than 264,400 guests and 45 events – with shows like Assemblies of God, ICAST 2019, and the 2019 Florida Restaurant and Lodging Show generating a tremendous economic impact for the Central Florida community.
The Assemblies of God 58th General Council hosted 23,000 attendees from around the world at their 2019 convention, which generated $59 million in economic impact for the region.
ICAST 2019 – the world’s largest sportfishing trade show – is the premier showcase for the latest innovations in fishing gear, accessories and apparel. This year, the show hosted more than 14,550 buyers, media and exhibitors from the global sportfishing industry, with an economic impact of $37 million.
The 2019 Florida Restaurant and Lodging Show, hosted by The Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, welcomed 8,400 independent restaurant owners, quick-serve restaurant operators, chefs, caterers, bakers, bar and nightclub operators, hotels and commercial foodservice personnel from across the state. This premier two-day event, which generated $22 million in economic impact, showcased emerging trends in the restaurant and lodging industry.
