Orlando, Fla. – (Feb. 24, 2020) The Florida Swimming Pool Association (FSPA) safely welcomed thousands of association members to its annual Everything Under the Sun Expo, hosted at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) from Feb. 19-20, 2021. Featuring a multitude of educational, networking, buying and selling opportunities, the annual trade event truly featured Everything Under the Sun for 2,000 swimming pool and spa industry professionals, generating an estimated $5.1 million in economic impact for the region.
“The pool industry is having one of its best years and we are excited to celebrate this energy and success at our annual trade show,” said FSPA Executive Director Wendy Parker Barsell. “The FSPA staff and volunteers spent countless hours on details to ensure the 2021 Everything Under the Sun Expo could be safely held in-person. Coming together face to face allows the swimming pool industry to celebrate the current boom, while prioritizing health and safety guidelines.”
Committed to connecting its industry, show planners worked cohesively with the OCCC team to create a safe environment for all in attendance – from designing physically distanced floor plans, to utilizing innovative disinfection technologies and procedures, and managing booth and classroom capacities.
“The OCCC was proud to once again welcome the Everything Under the Sun Expo,” said OCCC Executive Director Mark Tester. “After safely hosting several events and trade shows under modified operations, we are confident that with the support of our clients and show organizers, the Center is leading the way in demonstrating how to meet safely.”
FSPA organizers also worked in close collaboration with OCCC hotel partners at the Hyatt Regency Orlando and Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando, to ensure rigorous measures were in place for exhibitors and attendees throughout their stay in Orlando. As Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR facilities, the OCCC and its hotel partners offered a clear, consistent and deliberate approach to ensuring the safety of FSPA members.
With a history of success in meeting safely, the OCCC and its destination partners continue to lead the way to position Orlando as the No. 1 destination for healthy meetings.
