(Oct. 10, 2019) – The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) welcomes Katarina Dos Santos as its new Marketing and Communications Assistant Manager. In her role, Dos Santos will be responsible for developing strategic marketing and communications plans for The Center of Hospitality, as well as implementing the Convention Center’s public relations and digital communications strategies to align with the OCCC’s core mission of economic development.

Dos Santos started her career at Orange County Government, where she managed the County’s social media and digital communications initiatives. During her time there, she won numerous local, state and national awards from the Orlando Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, Public Relations Society of America Sunshine District, the National Association of Counties, PR Daily - Ragan Communications, and the Center for Digital Government.

“We are excited to welcome Katarina to the Orange County Convention Center,” said OCCC Deputy Director Yulita Osuba. “Her diverse communications background will be an asset to our team as we continue to strategically grow our marketing efforts.”

Katarina is a graduate of the University of Central Florida’s (UCF) Advertising/Public Relations program. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Mass Communication and has a Certificate in Corporate Communications from UCF. Her experience spans the non-profit, agency, government and corporate sectors with a focus on public relations, digital marketing, social media and brand management.
