Success and industry changes at FABTECH Orlando

“Change is a powerful engine for both growth and discovery.” So said Andrew Kossowski, owner of Largo, Fla.-based Veterans Metal LLC, during the opening sessions at this year’s FABTECH in Orlando, Fla. Four years ago, he and his wife purchased a “completely manual, completely analog” metal finishing company in Largo, Fla., and since then they carried the company through a digital transformation that entailed “not only changing the physical space, but also about redefining the business.”

Orlando, historically known for its world-class theme parks, has recently emerged as a food lover’s paradise. The area is now home to an incredible array of culinary experiences and top-notch restaurants led by celebrity chefs. In fact, Orlando was named No. 1 on WalletHub’s recent “Best Foodie Cities in America” list, beating out 180 other cities that were graded on things like grocery cost, restaurant diversity and food trucks per capita.

Plans have been submitted to Orange County redevelop the Magical Midway Thrill Park, which closed in April.

Fanatics Collect Orlando Rescheduled

The company revealed that Fanatics Collect Orlando, scheduled for early November, would not be held. Plans for another show that had been planned for PNC Park in Pittsburgh in late September, were nixed during the summer.

Report: Universal Orlando to Open Universal Epic Universe Theme Park Next Summer

According to the Wall Street Journal, Universal officials are targeting a full opening by Memorial Day weekend 2025, despite no previous opening date being announced and the theme park not confirming the report.

Epic Universe will feature 5 lands with more than 50 attractions, as well as 3 hotels.
