ORLANDO, Fla. – (June 25, 2019) Officials from AVIXA - InfoComm 2019, Orange County Government and the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) have announced official attendance figures with 44,129 registered guests visiting The Center of Hospitality in Orlando, Florida during June 12-14, 2019. The figures are an increase from the 42,811 last year. First time guests consisted of 37% of attendees and 18% traveled from 117 countries outside the United States.
AVIXA is the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, producer of InfoComm trade shows around the world, co-owner of Integrated Systems Europe, and the international trade association representing the audiovisual industry. InfoComm is the largest tradeshow in North America focused on the pro-AV industry, with 1,000 exhibitors and thousands of products.
"The feedback from exhibitors has been outstanding. Many told us they had exceeded past records for booth visitors by early on the second day, an indication of very engaged attendees,” said AVIXA senior vice president of exhibitions Rochelle Richardson. “And the sheer number of people absorbing our content - everything from the packed room for Emerging Trends Day to the crowds at Center Stage - is some of the best validation we can receive of InfoComm's value to the industry."
Continuing education continues to be a priority for InfoComm and their attendees.
"In addition to everyone who sat for exams, we had nearly 600 people take our intensive three-day courses to kick off the week, more than at any other InfoComm," said AVIXA CEO Dave Labuskes.
Orange County’s senior leadership and Convention Center executives are pleased with InfoComm’s continued success in Orlando and the nearly $87 million economic impact the tradeshow brings to the community.
“We have enjoyed an outstanding relationship with InfoComm and we are honored to continue our valued relationship as this industry’s premier tradeshow partner,” said Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings. “I join The Center of Hospitality in sharing our excitement in showcasing the amenities that our Convention Center and community have to offer.”
InfoComm is contracted to return to the Orange County Convention Center every other year through 2025.
“Our goal is to consistently deliver on our promise of unparalleled guest service and exceed our client and guest expectations at The Center of Hospitality,” said Jessie Allen, the Center’s Interim Executive Director. “We’re thrilled to have earned and maintained the trust and confidence of this important market segment.”
