Orlando's Orange County Convention Center Reveals Expansion Plans

Orlando, FL - Following a feasibility study conducted by Populous, the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando has revealed plans for an expansion that management hopes will take place over the next 20 years.

Since it first opened its doors in 1983, the Orange County Convention Center has grown from being a 150,000-square-foot event center serving its local community to one of the nation’s largest convention facilities. The Orlando, Fla., convention center today offers more than 2 million square feet of exhibition space in two buildings and hosts more than 200 conventions, tradeshows, meetings, banquets, consumer events and public-ticketed events annually.
