Economic Impact
On average, the Orange County Convention Center hosts approximately one million delegates annually and provides a $1.4 billion dollar total economic impact annually to the Central Florida economy, all at no cost to Orange County Citizens.
In addition to the $1.4 billion dollar annual impact, convention-related businesses and educational events known as "conventions" contribute the following to the Orange County economy:
- 26,000 jobs
- $15 million in ad valorem taxes for County services
- $19 million in ad valorem taxes for County schools
- $4.3 million in County surplus
- $1.57 billion in taxable value of convention-related hotel, restaurant, retail and service provider real property
